NEA develops projects in various areas throughout England via its local and regional work programme. NEA currently has external offices in Coventry, Plymouth, Huddersfield, London, North Yorkshire (area office only), Nottingham, Oldham and Wisbech. NEA has regional Co-ordinators based in most of these offices throughout England.

NEA's regional work programme continues to grow and Regional Co-ordinators continue to engage regional agencies and press for affordable warmth commitments within the regional policy framework. In recent years NEA has worked on, amongst other things, developing regional fuel poverty strategies and has highlighted the need for cross-sectoral partnership working through its regional seminar programme. NEA fuel poverty forums continue to be a primary focus for regional debate on fuel poverty issues, a showcase for new developments and provide a useful opportunity to engage with key personnel on a regional level.

NEA is always extremely keen to engage with local and regional agencies to deliver its priorities in tackling fuel poverty. For example, NEA continues to work with regional agencies, local authorities and their wider partners throughout England to develop and deliver affordable warmth strategies. These strategies provide a policy tool with which to drive forward the fuel poverty agenda and, when successfully implemented, can make a real difference to people’s lives. Furthermore, in this year's work programme NEA is working with local authorities, Local Strategic Partnerships and other consortia overseeing the implementation of national indicators via Local Area Agreements to help shape developments within communities. NEA is also working in partnership with local agencies to deliver a range of local projects across England which benefit communities directly through technical and service developments.
